JPMorganChase Event and Interest Group Branding

JPMorganChase — one of the world’s largest banks — houses many internal interest groups and departments, each with their own initiatives and visual presence. As part of the Brand team, I worked on many of these systems, producing design and collateral for events and communications.

Employee Appreciation Week

For Employee Appreciation Week, a unified visual system is deployed globally. It must celebrate everyone at JPMC while communicating well across cultures, cities and continents. For 2023, the Brand Creative team elevated a confetti theme. I added dimensionality to the confetti and translated our concept to many signage and graphics templates and provided graphic toolkits so spaces and gift items across the firm could be themed for the week.

Advancing Hispanics and Latinos

Visual Identity

One of the first projects I worked on was a visID for theJPMorganChase interest group Advancing Hispanics and Latinos. I developed a visual identity that met their needs, within their constraints, that was used for AHL materials — conference visuals, intranet graphics, internal office screens.

For Hispanic Heritage Month in 2023, the visID was adapted by Chase and incorporated into an animation by an agency to appear on the Chase electronic billboard in Times Square, NYC.

Design Problem Solving

ICONOGRAPHY

The AHL group represents Spanish speaking places all over the world, so the iconography must reflect a very wide range of people and cultures. An abstraction of a tile motif was the sweet spot between culturally specific and broad enough to be inclusive, while also flexible enough to be applied to a range of uses.

COLOR

Colors for the VisID must be drawn from a limited set of tertiary colors that were part of the JPMorganChase design system in 2022, avoiding terracottas, browns and purples. The JPMC blue, magenta, yellow and green worked together as a bright and broad palette that avoided color tropes.

Chase Heritage Celebration

For Hispanic Heritage Month in 2023, the vidID was adapted by Chase to be incorporated into special collateral and made into an animation by an agency to appear on the Chase electronic billboard in Times Square, NYC.

Women on the Move

Leadership Day 2022

Women on the Move — one of the seven internal Centers of Excellence groups — organizes a high-profile, high-energy day-long symposium to inspire employees and clients each year. In 2022 our team designed this playful system for the conference, evolving the existing Women On the Move branding. I applied the concept across signage and wayfinding in the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

Women on the Move

Women’s History Month

Excited by the bold visuals at Leadership Day, the Women on the Move team wanted some of the colors and energy to carry over into the graphics for Women’s History Month. I shifted the color palette and created this simple, but energetic visual.

Women on the Move

Podcast

The Women on the Move Podcast graphics were long overdue for an update, even though the new JPMC branding had not yet been developed. For this interim phase, I created a cleaner version, carrying over the gradient from other recent WotM initiatives and existing WotM colors, but adding a lighter blue to be used for the CTA button.
